Jameson Taillon pitched 7 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on seven hits and zero walks while striking out six in New York’s 5-2 win in Toronto on Tuesday.

Taillon pitched into the 8th inning to earn his career-high tying 14th victory of the season and help the Yankees clinch the AL East crown. The right scattered seven hits while walking zero batters for the 13th time this season. Taillon improves to 14-5 with a 3.83 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 146 strikeouts in 171 1/3 innings across 31 starts this season. Taillon’s next and final start of the regular season is scheduled for Monday against the Rangers.
