Padres slugger Manny Machado was one of the few offensive bright spots Wednesday in a 1-0 loss to the Dodgers. He finished 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base.
Julio Urias completely dominated the Padres lineup, tossing six shutout innings. Machado was the only San Diego hitter to reach more than once off him. After a single, he swiped his ninth base of the season. The veteran has certainly slowed down in recent years stealing bases, but he still can pick one up every so often. He has earned another early-round draft pick next year.
