Sandy Alcantara worked an eight-inning complete game in Friday's 1-0 loss to the Brewers, allowing just one run on five hits and no walks while striking out eight.

Even though he only threw eight innings in this one, Alcantara recorded his league-leading sixth complete game Friday night. The Marlins were not able to scratch across a single run of support for their ace, so he ultimately ended up with a tough loss on his record. Alcantara is right in the thick of the N.L. Cy Young conversation and in line to get one more start Wednesday versus the Braves.
