Padres SP Yu Darvish pitched well on Friday in a 3-1 loss to the White Sox. He allowed just one run on eight hits with six strikeouts in six innings of work.

The Padres bats were silent on Friday as White Sox starter Davis Martin and Chicago's pen out-dueled Darvish. This was likely the veteran righty's final start of the regular season. But depending on how the next four games go, it's possible Bob Melvin needs him on short rest in the final game next week.
