Starling Marte (hand) took swings off of a tee Monday but was unable to do any further baseball activities. (Laura Albanese on Twitter)

Starling Marte swung off a tee with both hands today, a spokesman said.

Buck said earlier of Marte's attempts today: "I don’t think that got a real good return."

No baseball activities. Current focus is pain/swelling management.

Fantasy Impact:

Buck Showalter didn't seem optimistic about Marte returning soon to the lineup, and the chance of Marte returning in the regular season seems slim. Tyler Naquin will continue to fill in for Marte.
