Alexis Diaz picks up tenth save Monday.

by Scott Youngson | Reds Correspondent | Mon, Oct 3rd 10:38pm EDT

Alexis Diaz pitched around two walks to start the ninth inning to earn his tenth save in the Reds' victory Monday. Diaz was charged with an earned run as the runner crossed the plate before the game-ending double play was complete.

Fantasy Impact:

Diaz has been a revelation out of the bullpen this season, emerging as the Reds' top arm after starting the season deep on the depth chart. If Monday is Diaz's last outing of 2022, he'll finish the year with an impressive 1.88 ERA and 0.98 WHIP. Diaz should start next season as the Reds' closer, but we'll have to see what the offseason brings.
