Lance McCullers Jr. pitches well in final start of season Monday

by Kendall Capps | Astros Correspondent | Tue, Oct 4th 2:56am EDT

Astros SP Lance McCullers Jr. looked sharp in a loss Monday. He tossed six innings, allowing one run on six hits and a walk, striking out six in a 3-1 loss to the Phillies.

Fantasy Impact:

McCullers Jr. gave up a solo home run to Kyle Schwarber in the first inning. That's hard to be angry at. Outside of that, the veteran righty pitched really well, scattering baserunners the rest of his time on the mound. He finished the 2022 season 4-2 with a stellar 2.27 ERA across eight starts this season. He pitched well enough to garner mixed league attention next season.
