Luis Severino fires seven no-hit innings in win Monday

by Luke Monaldo | Mets Correspondent | Tue, Oct 4th 8:27am EDT

Luis Severino pitched seven innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and one walk while striking out seven in New York’s 3-1 win against the Rangers on Monday.

Fantasy Impact:

Severino was lights out on Monday and had a no-hitter going when he was lifted after seven innings. This was a great way for Seve, who has had playoff issues in his career, to end the regular season on a high note. Severino finishes the regular season 7-3 with a 3.18 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and 112 strikeouts in 102 innings across 19 starts. He will likely be the Yankees’ 4th starter in the playoffs and could offer a nice DFS option.
