Spencer Steer walks off Reds' victory Tuesday

by Scott Youngson | Reds Correspondent | Tue, Oct 4th 10:52pm EDT

Spencer Steer had only one hit in four at-bats Tuesday, but it won the game in the bottom of the ninth. Steer doubled after Stuart Fairchild walked to start the ninth to secure the victory.

Fantasy Impact:

It was an exciting finish to the game for Steer and the Reds, who have not had many bright moments this season. Steer debuted this year after the Reds acquired him from the Twins at the deadline and hit .207 with two HRs, 12 runs, and seven RBI in 104 plate appearances (through Tuesday). He will try to make the club out of spring training next year but will have to prove himself before becoming fantasy relevant.
