Daniel Lynch serves up five runs in loss Tuesday

by Luke Monaldo | Royals Correspondent | Wed, Oct 5th 8:21am EDT

Daniel Lynch pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out two in Kansas City’s 5-3 loss to the Guardians on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact:

Lynch lost for the sixth time in his last 11 starts and has not earned a victory since August 1 against the White Sox. Of his four wins, three came on the road with his sole home win coming back on April 20. Lynch finishes the season 4-13 with a 5.13 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, and 122 strikeouts in 131 2/3 innings across 27 starts. It was mostly a season to forget for Daniel Lynch but he will likely have a new manager and coaching staff next season and with Lynch being only 25 they might be able to unlock more potential than Mike Matheny and company could.
