Aaron Judge hits AL/Yankee record 62nd home run Tuesday

by Luke Monaldo | Yankees Correspondent | Wed, Oct 5th 8:26am EDT

Aaron Judge went 2-for-7 with a solo home run across both games of Tuesday’s doubleheader against the Rangers.

Fantasy Impact:

After a season long chase of history, Judge moved into sole possession of the American League and Yankee single-season home run record that Roger Maris held for 61 years. Judge still leads the Majors in a lot of categories besides homers including RBI; runs scored, OPS, and at .311 has an outside chance at the Triple Crown. Unfortunately for him, he sits 4-points behind Minnesota’s Luis Arraez for the AL lead. That is a seemingly insurmountable lead with one game remaining. Judge is slashing .311/.425/.686 with 62 home runs, 131 RBI, 133 runs scored, 111 walks, and 16 stolen bases in 681 plate appearances this season. No matter where fantasy managers room Aaron Judge in this year’s draft m, he was beyond worth it, to say the least, having a season for the ages in his free agent year no less.the biggest question this off-season is whether or not Judge will still be wearing the Yankee pinstripes next season.
