Graham Ashcraft pounded by Cubs in last start of 2022

Graham Ashcraft dropped to 5-6 after allowing seven runs off four hits and five walks over five and one-third innings Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact:
Ashcraft finished his rookie season with a 4.89 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, and 6.1 K/9. His last three starts of the year after he came off the IL on September 24 were disastrous, raising his ERA by nearly a run. Perhaps he wasn't wholly healthy, as he was a relatively effective pitcher before the biceps injury. Ashcraft doesn't have the upside of rookie teammates Nick Lodolo and Hunter Greene, profiling as a back-end rotation starter. He's not someone to target in fantasy drafts next spring but could become fantasy-relevant next season if he can keep the walks down and start generating more strikeouts.
