J.D. Martinez went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and three-run homer against the Rays on Wednesday. Boston ultimately defeated Tampa Bay by a score of 6-3 in the season finale.
Fantasy Impact:
Martinez has a chance to hit free agency this winter, so if Wednesday indeed marked his last game in Boston, he went out with a bang. The slugger accumulated a .274/.341/.448 slash line, 16 homers, 62 RBI, 52 walks, and 145 strikeouts in 2022.
