Nolan Arenado has opted into the rest of his five-year contract with the Cardinals, keeping him locked into St. Louis until 2027. (Katie Woo on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Arenado returning with the Cards on this current contract was relatively expected, as the two sides have had a great relationship since he was traded from the Rockies. The third baseman is coming off a great season where he hit .293 with 30 home runs and 103 RBIs in 148 games played while also playing his signature elite defense. The 31-year-old will be a force in the middle of the St. Louis lineup for years to come.
