Verlander is fresh off of a historic comeback season that earned him the third Cy Young award of his career at age 39. The future Hall of Famer opted out of his contract with the Astros shortly after the club won their second World Series this year, making him a free agent. The Dodgers join both New York clubs as well as the Astros in being tagged as suitors for Verlander's services.
