The Mets are also reportedly looking at Carlos Rodon in free agency. It sounds like one of the two will land with the Mets this offseason. Verlander likely won't receiver a contract as long as deGrom, but it will be similar in terms of the per-year amount. Rodon could receive a deal close to or as long as deGrom.
