Brandon Phillips drives in only Reds' run in loss

by Kerry Kauffman | Mon, Jul 6th 10:47am EDT

The Reds managed just four hits in Sunday's 6-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. Brandon Phillips knocked in the only run with an RBI double in the eighth. It was his only hit in four at-bats and is now batting .279 for the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Phillips is nearly matching his career batting average and on-base percentage this season, but his power numbers are down. His career OPS is .741 and is down to .691 this season. While Phillips is still a solid fantasy second baseman, owners should not expect the pop in his bad from past seasons.
