Manny Machado homers on his birthday

On Monday, the Baltimore Orioles lost to the Minnesota Twins 4-2. The game would be won in extra innings by a Dozier home run in the 10th. Manny Machado went 2-4 in the loss with a home run, an RBI, two hits, and a walk.

Manny Machado has been one of the most consistent players on the Orioles and has helped them make a run to the AL East's first place. Machado is currently hitting .299 this season, with 18 home runs, and 47 RBI, also with an OPS of .878. Machado had a very special birthday hitting a home run, and was named an all-star reserve. Machado is very deserving of the all-star nod, as he has been an all-star at the plate and in the field after struggling early on in the season. Machado and the Oriole will look to get back into the win column on Tuesday as they continue their series against the Twins.
