Clayton Kershaw strikes out 13 in a complete game shutout

Clayton Kershaw was magnificent Wednesday night against the Philadelphia Phillies. He went the distance, allowing eight hits, and striking out 13. 92-of-123 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

Kershaw is now sporting an ERA of 2.85 with a 1.02 WHIP. He's struck out 160 batters in 123 innings. His career high is 248 in 2011. He's on pace for 300 strikeouts. The single season record is 513 by Matt Kilroy in 1886. I think it's safe to say that record will never be broken. After a terrible start to the season, Kershaw is back to his dominating ways and could end up as the No. 1 fantasy option if Max Scherzer falters.
