Fantasy Impact:
Ryu underwent Tommy John surgery back in June, bringing his injury-plagued 2022 campaign to a premature end. The veteran lefty managed just six starts this past season, compiling a 5.67 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 16-to-4 K/BB ratio across 27 innings. He is entering the final year of his contract with the Jays, so Ryu will be looking to show that he is healthy as early as possible. Right now, he is aiming to get back on a big-league mound following the 2023 All-Star break.
