Maton was part of a five-player swap that saw the Phillies nab reliever Gregory Soto from the Tigers. The 25-year-old enjoyed a big season in limited duty in 2022, posting a .264 ISO, .364 wOBA, and 135 wRC+ across 85 trips to the plate. Maton should see an increased role on a Tigers team in transition in 2023.
