Matt Wieters gets an RBI in the win

by James McGowan | Fri, Jul 10th 10:55pm EDT

On Friday, the Baltimore Orioles beat the Washington Nationals 3-2. The Orioles were able to come back into the game and help gain some ground in the AL East. Wieters went 3-4, with three hits, and an RBI in the game against the Nationals.

Fantasy Impact:

Wieters has started to find his rythm since coming back into the line-up after missing a year due to Tommy John surgery. Wieters has looked more and more comfortable every single game, and has settled in behind the plate adding balance to the O's. This season Wieters is hitting .266, with three home runs, 11 RBI, and an OPS of .738. Wieters has looked a lot better as of late, and has started to consistently help them. Wieters will bring a solid catcher to any team looking for one, but he does go a little while between games getting RBI but has been consistently on base. The Orioles will look to keep their winning streak up as they take the Nationals on up until the all star break.
