by Jamison Malasko | Tue, Jul 21st 9:27am EDT

Albert Pujols had a monster day as he went 4 for 7 in a doubleheader against the Red Sox. He had three home runs, four RBI, and scored five runs. The multi-hit performance was a breakthrough for Pujols, who entered the game hitting a modest .138 with just four hits and five strikeouts over his last seven games.

Fantasy Impact:

What a way to break out of a slump for Albert. The Angels crushed the Red Sox in both games of the doubleheader and were led by Pujols three home runs. He now has moved himself into the top of the leaderboard in home runs with 29, which is just ahead of his teammate Mike Trout.
