Alexei Ramirez is struggling again

by Rob Schwarz, Jr. | Tue, Jul 21st 10:18am EDT

The White Sox had won 10 of their last 15 games before the All-Star break. It seems they have lost their mojo. They have lost four of their last five games, and it has to do with the fact that they cannot produce runs. Alexei Ramirez has not helped their cause. On Sunday, the shortstop went 0-for-3 from the plate.

Fantasy Impact:

Alexei Ramirez was showing signs of life before the All-Star break, but has struggled mightily as of late. Over the last seven games he is sporting a .154 batting average. With better options available at shortstop, Ramirez should be benched or cut right now. Even when Ramirez does hit, the White Sox run potential is limited and he has limited opportunities to produce fantasy points. In DFS leagues, look to guys like Brad Miller or Alcides Escobar who tend to bat at the top of the lineup.
