Carlos Gomez traded to Mets for Zack Wheeler and Wilmer Flores

The Brewers have traded Carlos Gomez in exchange for Zack Wheeler and Wilmer Flores. The deal is pending physicals, so official word won't be out until Thursday. (Joel Sherman on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
This provides the Mets with the bat they were so urgently seeking. This is also the first time in the last six years the Mets have been buyers. They have a solid chance to contend this year and Gomez will play a major role as he returns to the team where it all started in 2007. He may also see a bump in plate appearances as the potential leadoff hitter.
