Chase Utley goes 2-for-3 in Triple-A rehab game

by Kerry Kauffman | Mon, Aug 3rd 2:11am EDT

The Phillies have played well since the All-Star break, winning 12 of 15 games. Veteran second baseman Chase Utley hasn't been a part of it, as he is on the DL with an ankle injury. He made a step towards recovery, going 2-for-3 with a walk at Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Sunday. Utley will continue his rehab at Double-A Reading. (Phillies Nation)

Fantasy Impact:

Utley has struggled all season, hitting just .179 with four home runs and 25 RBI in 65 games. The ankle injury certainly has played a part, but age and wear and tear on his body have also. How much Utley will play and how effective he'll be when he returns remains to be seen. Utley is a career .281 hitter with 232 home runs and 911 RBI.
