Clayton Kershaw not sharp against the Pirates

by Stan Son | Dodgers Correspondent | Fri, Aug 7th 9:54pm EDT

Clayton Kershaw's scoreless streak ended at 37 innings when he allowed a first inning home run to Gregory Polanco. On the night, he allowed four earned runs on nine hits, walked two, and struck out five. He also hit a batter. 64-of-97 pitches were thrown for strikes.

Fantasy Impact:

Kershaw just had a rough night all around. He was hit by a pitch while batting, knocked down a comebacker with his bare hand, and had a ball ricochet off his foot. His control was off all night, as evidenced by the hit batter. These kinds of nights happen. Kershaw has been utterly dominant and should return to form.
