Cole Hamels still looking for first win as a Ranger
by Mitch Cox | Sat, Aug 8th 1:15am EDT
Cole Hamels allowed three solo home runs, including two in the sixth inning that gave the Mariners the lead for good, in the Rangers 4-3 loss at Seattle. Hamels, in his second start for Texas, allowed eight hits and four runs over six innings. He walked two and struck out seven.
Fantasy Impact:
Hamels hasn't pitched like the shutdown "ace" the Rangers were hoping they were getting when they traded to acquire him from the Phillies. That being said, he gave his team a chance to win, but the Ranger offense struggled against Hisashi Iwakuma.
