Andrew McCutchen goes hitless in loss to Cardinals

by Caleb Luketic | Pirates Correspondent | Wed, Aug 12th 11:14am EDT

The Pittsburgh Pirates were able to jump out to an early 3-1 lead, but the lead didn't last long. In the fifth inning, Jeff Locke began the inning by walking two batters, which would come back to haunt the Pirates. The Cardinals would score three runs in that inning to gain and preserve the lead. Andrew McCutchen has been on fire as of late, but the Cardinals cooled him down on Tuesday, as he went 0-for-4.

Fantasy Impact:

I wouldn't worry too much about Andrew McCutchen's bad day because every single player has them. I would still leave him in your starting lineups because he is going to have a fire under him to try to beat the division-leading Cardinals.
