Carlos Gomez knocks a single in Monday loss

Keeping at center field during Monday evening's 9-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays, Carlos Gomez went 1-for-4 with a single. He also got a ground out, fly out and strikeout in the game. Gomez has kept a solid and steady .249 average on the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Getting a hit to break out of his dry spell will certainly provide some much need confidence boosting for the veteran outfielder. Many did question when the team acquired him whether or not he would be able to live up to the hype. He has succeeded in doing that to a degree, but will need to keep the hits coming in order to not be considered a questionable acquisition. Fantasy holders can keep close watch on Gomez if they like, but don't make the effort to invest in him for the remainder of this season.
