Jon Jay to begin rehab assignment this weekend

Jay is expected to start his rehab at Triple-A Memphis this weekend. Jay has missed the last 51 games with a left wrist injury. The length of the rehab has not been determined. (Cardinals.com)
Fantasy Impact:
Jay looks like he might be the first injured Cardinal to make his way back to the big club. Rosters are set to expand next Tuesday, September 1st, so he will likely not be up before then. If Jay does return from injury before other Cardinals, he could factor into the outfield playing time mix. Jay should only be considered in deeper fantasy leagues.
