The home run bug bit Max Scherzer again, twice in the early innings of Friday's loss to the Marlins. Scherzer then finished by retiring 12 straight batters for a final line of 7IP 6H 4ER 0BB 8SO 2HR (85 pitches Game Score 57). He was lifted for a pinch hitter, but the Nationals' rally fell short.
Fantasy Impact:
Scherzer (11-11, ERA 2.88) has had a month to forget. He is 0-3, ERA 6.43 in his last five starts, and the opponents have clobbered seven home runs.
