Stephen Strasburg exits with back injury

by Rose Ingberman | Mon, Aug 31st 7:30am EDT

Stephen Strasburg threw only four innings against the Marlins on Sunday, leaving with a "little knot" in his back. Strasburg's velocity was down and his control off as he allowed seven hits, four runs (two homers) as he struck out three and walked none. His team rallied so Strasburg took a no-decision. Fantasy Impact:

Strasburg (8-6, ERA 4.35) had been pitching like an Ace before this latest setback. He stated after the game that this is an on-going issue that he will play through and deal with in the off-season. If medication helps (as it has previously) he will make his next start, but I wouldn't count on it.
