Carlos Gomez gets a pair of hits in Sunday loss

by James Ignatius Zeankowski | Mon, Aug 31st 8:21am EDT

Keeping at center field during Sunday afternoon's 7-5 series loss to the Minnesota Twins, Carlos Gomez went 2-for-4 with a single and a double. He also tallied a fly out and a ground out collectively in the game. Gomez has bumped his average back up to .248 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

This was another one of those not-too-surprising hot streak days for Gomez. The veteran outfielder has the capacity to do more of these coming down the stretch towards the post season. Whether or not he will be able to achieve more than enough of these hot streaks remains to be seen. Fantasy holders can keep an eye on Gomez if they wish, but still hold off on going all in on him for the rest of 2015 at least.
