Ryan Howard takes the collar in loss to Mets
by Kerry Kauffman | Thu, Sep 3rd 12:35am EDT
The Phillies fell to the New York Mets on Wednesday by the score of 9-4. Although the Phillies got 10 hits, Ryan Howard was shut down, going 0-for-4. Howard only saw eight pitches i those four at-bats and his average dropped to .237 for the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Howard is just 2-for-17 over his last six games with no extra-base hits. He's on pace to hit 25 home runs, but his walk total is way down, contributing to an anemic .288 on-base percentage. The are better fantasy options down the stretch for those struggling at first base.
