Andrew McCutchen homers, but Pirates fall hard

by Chris Schommer | Pirates Correspondent | Sun, Jun 16th 9:07am EDT

Andrew McCutchen went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the Pirates' 16-4 loss to the Rockies.

Fantasy Impact:

Despite the team's rough outing, McCutchen managed to add a little shine to his season stats with his tenth homer. However, his overall performance this season has been less than stellar, batting just .240 with a .327 wOBA. While the power is still present, his high strikeout rate and low batting average limit his fantasy appeal. Owners should consider McCutchen a risky play, primarily useful in deeper leagues or as a situational starter against favorable pitching matchups.
