San Francisco Giants right-hander Jake Peavy earned the win on Friday in a 9-1 blowout over the San Diego Padres. He made it through seven innings only allowing one run on two hits. Peavy did not walk a batter and recorded two strikeouts.
Fantasy Impact:
Peavy has been much better at home than on the road this season. This was his second win in a row in September and he improved his home record to 4-2 with a 3.46 ERA. Peavy is set to make his next start at home on Wednesday against the Cincinnati Reds. Fantasy owners should consider Peavy for a spot start on Wednesday if he is available on the waiver wire.
