Jhonny Peralta rests on Sunday

Jhonny Peralta did not see the field on Sunday against the Cincinnati Reds. After playing one game of a doubleheader on Saturday, and pinch hitting in another, Peralta got a day of rest and relaxation.
Fantasy Impact:
The veteran shortstop has cooled off a bit as the season has progressed. Since April, Peralta has seen his average dip in each of the following months. Sure, a decline in average month after month is not a good thing, but Peralta hasn't been needed to keep up his production in a potent St. Louis Cardinals lineup. With a .273 AVG/16 HR/60 RBI, Peralta is putting together a fine season and remains a high-end No. 2 shortstop.
