Hanley Ramirez will not play first base this season

The Red Sox are leaning toward not having Hanley Ramirez (shoulder) get any game action at first base, CSN New England reports. Interim manager Torey Lovullo said the team's reluctant to put him in a game at first base due to "health" and "comfort level." (CSNNE)

Fantasy Impact:

Hanley Ramirez has been working out a first base while he is on the disabled list with a sore shoulder. But it does not look like he will be playing there this season. There is a good chance that the Red Sox try to make him the everyday first baseman for 2016 as he struggled with his play in the outfield. Next year his value should drop in fantasy as he will lose his short stop position in most leagues. That coupled with continuous injuries make him a risky option for next season.
