Matt Holliday activated from DL by Cardinals

The Cardinals activated Holliday from the DL on Tuesday. Holliday had been out since July 30th when he strained his right quad. Holliday is expected to start as a pinch-hitter before getting a start. (mlb.com)

Watch for the Cardinals to work Holliday into the lineup slowly over the next few days. They deployed a similar strategy with Matt Adams when he returned from injury. Expect Holliday to get some starts down the stretch. If someone dropped him in your league, he might be worth a pickup for a little boost to your fantasy team down the stretch.
