Decision on Adam Wainwright to come on Monday

Wainwright is scheduled to met with doctors on Monday to determine if he can resume baseball activities. Following that meeting, Wainwright and the team will have an idea if a potential return this season is possible. Wainwright has continued to throw bullpen sessions, but has yet to try to field his position, which would be required before allowing him to pitch for the Cardinals. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)

Wainwright has been working his way back all season from an Achilles injury suffered in April. If Wainwright receives positive news on Monday, then he will continue to ramp up his activities with the goal of pitching for the Cardinals this season. While he will probably not be back in time to help your fantasy team, he could be a valuable arm for the Cardinals post-season run.
