Verlander picks up the win Monday night versus Texas

Detroit SP Justin Verlander picked up another win on Monday by throwing six innings and allowing only one earned run. Verlander also struck out five, walked two, and lowered his ERA to 3.39. (ESPN)
Fantasy Impact:
Justin Verlander has made a strong resurgence in the past couple of months, and has gone at least six innings in each of his last ten starts. Though his record may not show it, Verlander has pitched well after the All-Star break: he has compiled a 2.87 ERA with a .216 batting average against. It will be interesting to see if Verlander can carry this success over to next season and become one of the top pitchers in fantasy baseball again.
