Spencer Horwitz (wrist) to miss six-to-eight weeks

Pirates infielder Spencer Horwitz is set to miss six-to-eight weeks following a procedure on his right wrist. (Pittsburgh Pirates on Twitter)

The procedure was aimed at dealing with a chronic wrist isssue, putting an early damper on his first season with the Pirates. The 27-year-old impressed by hitting .264 with 12 homers and a .790 OPS in 97 games with the Blue Jays last season before being traded to the Guardians and eventually flipped to the Bucs.
