Jackie Bradley with some curious splits

by Chris McCoy | Tue, Oct 13th 10:51am EDT

2015 represented a turning point for Jackie Bradley Jr. as he finally proved that he was able to hit Major League pitching posting a .249/.335/.498 line with 10 HR's in 255 plate appearances. A deeper look into the numbers revealed that Bradley, a lefthanded hitter actually produced better against LHP with a .306/.390/.528 line versus a .221/.380/.483 against RHP. Similarly, Bradley was much better at home (.321/.391/.621) versus on the road (.186/.288/.390).

Fantasy Impact:

Jackie Bradley turned out to be a pretty useful fantasy player at the end of 2015 as he went on streaks where he crushed everything in sight. Be wary of him in the 2016 draft as he may go off the board a little higher than necessary. The smart play would be to look at Bradley as a reserve in three OF leagues and a four to five in five OF leagues. Its possible that he outperforms that level, but its just as likely that he comes crashing back down to Earth.
