Triston Casas (knee) likely to miss remainder of season

Triston Casas has been diagnosed with a ruptured left patellar tendon and placed on the 10-day injured list. He’s expected to miss the remainder of the 2025 season. (Boston Red Sox on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Although Casas was placed on the 10-day IL, Chief Baseball Officer Craig Breslow said he will undergo surgery and isn’t expected to return this season. Romy Gonzalez is likely to see the bulk of playing time at first base for now and offers some short-term appeal in deeper leagues, slashing .270/.340/.419 on the year. Rafael Devers could also see some time at first base.
