Zack Wheeler (shoulder) will undergo surgery for thoracic outlet syndrome. He will be out for 6-8 months. (Jeff Passan on X)

Wheeler went for a second opinion after a blood clot was removed from his shoulder and was diagnosed with venous thoracic outlet syndrome. He will be out for the rest of the 2025 season, and it's unclear when he will be ready to return to the mound.
