Framber Valdez allowed one earned run on seven hits and two walks while striking out ten over seven innings in Thursday's victory against the Athletics.

After today’s win, Valdez now has a 3.66 ERA and 1.24 WHIP to go with a 13-11 record across 31 starts this season. He ends with 20 quality starts. Valdez closed out his regular season on a high note after giving up 10 combined runs in his previous eight innings. This was his first season with an ERA over 3.50 since 2020, but also the third time in the past four years with 190+ regular-season innings. He will look to keep this going if the Astros can secure a playoff spot.
