Bryan Baker nails down save as Rays top Marlins
by Nicholas Rodriguez | Rays Correspondent | Mon, May 18th 5:54am EDT
Bryan Baker allowed one hit over a scoreless frame to earn the save in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Miami Marlins.
Fantasy Impact:
Baker gave up a leadoff single to Joe Mack to begin the ninth inning, but quickly settled in and retired the next three batters to lock down the save. He picked up his 12th save of the season Sunday, which ranks second in the American League behind only Cade Smith. Baker has been reliable at the back end of the bullpen this year, posting a 2.79 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with 23 strikeouts across 19.1 innings.
