Nick Martinez allowed one earned run on nine hits and one walk while striking out one over six innings in Friday's 4-2 win over the New York Yankees.

Nick Martinez allowed 10 baserunners and struck out just one batter, but managed to escape several jams while surrendering only one run on Friday. The lone blemish came on a solo home run by Austin Wells in the fifth inning. Martinez continues to do an excellent job limiting damage, as he has now allowed one earned run or fewer in six straight starts. He owns an outstanding 1.51 ERA and 1.11 WHIP across 10 starts this season. His next scheduled outing is on Wednesday against the Baltimore Orioles.
