Nathaniel Lowe slugs homer in loss to Cardinals Saturday
by Brenton Kemp | Reds Correspondent | Sun, May 24th 12:14pm EDT
Reds first baseman Nathaniel Lowe hit a solo home run in an 8-1 loss to the Cardinals on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact:
Lowe's second-inning solo home run opened the scoring in this one, but would ultimately go down as the lone offensive output in a blowout loss to the division-rival Cardinals on Saturday. The long ball was the veteran's eighth of the season as he continues to return big value on a minor-league deal with the organization, one he signed deep into spring training. Lowe is slashing .268/.333/.554 with eight homers, 14 runs, and 23 RBI through 123 plate appearances on the campaign.
